All tours: 6am, 12pm, and 5pm sighting 6-16 bears

6am and 5pm tours seeing 6-12 different bears.

Main bear activity now is berry and carpenter ant/beehive foraging.

 

Mid-August triggers official start to "berry days" above mid-mountain in the ski area.

The next 60 days are crucial for bears foraging their maximum intake to achieve weight

15 bears (6 adults, 1 yearling, and 8 cubs) seen at 6-9pm, Aug 8

12 bears (6 adults and 6 cubs) seen at 6-9am, Aug 9

What a lovely long weekend!   With an array of activities to choose from in Whistler, it was terrific to have people from the Sea to Sky community come out to the Whistler Museum on BC Day.  We enjoyed answering questions and talking to visitors about Whistler, not to mention sharing delicious BC Day cake with them!
