Highways of the Past: Canoeing the Grand Canyon of the Liard

We're excited to announce our first Speaker Series of 2019! Join us to discover the journey down the Grand Canyon of the Liard River taken by Mike Stein and 5 fellow adventurers in 1972.  We'll also be screening the film taken of the experience, previously thought lost but now found, digitized and edited.
Tickets: $10 ($5 for Museum Members and Club Shred), available at the Whistler Museum.

Coast Mountain Gothic

Gothic Arch Huts are modest yet iconic structures that played a major role in the exploration of the Coast Mountains of British Columbia over the past 50 years.  Join us on opening night for a first look at the exhibit and special guest speakers Karl Ricker and Jayson Faulkner.

Friday, November 2.  Doors open at 6:30 pm.  Free admission.

Whistler Tennis: 100 Years 1918 - 2018

The Whistler Museum is asking for your help identifying the subjects in some of the photographs in our collections.  Whether you're new to Whistler or a long-time local, a full time resident or a frequent visitor, everyone is invited to help us fill in the blanks.

Whistler Museum AGM 2018

We'll be holding our AGM June 13, 6 - 7:30 pm at the Whistler Museum.  Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting (though only members get to vote) and following barbecue!  Come find out what we've up to!

Valley of Dreams Walking Tour 2018

June, July and August 2018

During June, July and August the Museum will be holding our Valley of Dreams Walking Tour daily.  Whether you're visiting Whistler, here to work for the season or a long time local we guarantee you will learn something new.  The tours will meet outside of the Whistler Visitor Centre on Gateway Drive at 11am.  By donation.

Film Screening: The Moment

May 15th, 2018
The Whistler Museum is hosting a screening of Darcy Turenne's influential mountain biking documentary The Moment, followed by a Q&A with Brett Tippie and door prizes. At the Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre.

Doors open at 8pm; film begins at 8:30pm.  Entry by donation, with all proceeds going to the BC Aboriginal Youth Mountain Biking Program.

The Story of Lord of the Squirrels & Whistler's Alpine MTB Trails

May 15th, 2018
Trail builder Dan Raymond and WORCA Director of Planning Todd Hellinga join us to discuss Whistler's alpine trails and the building and long-awaited opening of Lord of the Squirrels.  At the Whistler Museum.

Friday, May 18.  Doors open at 6:30pm; talk begins at 7pm.  Entry by donation, with all proceeds going to WORCA trail maintenance.
